Here we are...almost the middle of July!

My Goblin Gasser

First flight with the governor was a success! I might switch to a Stator Gator down the road, but for now, it is working great. I set the head speed on the low side as I’m still working on breaking in this motor. On the 20th flight, the motor started sounding more powerful. And on flight 22, I increased the head speed to that of my Whiplash settings…1750 normal, 1850 idle...

all good flights.
straight inverted run and manage to turn heli 180 deg for return run.

notice bell gains are high at 68 at 260 rates,

forum advises 50 to 55 with 240 rates. going to lower both

As we arrived, we were greeted by our wonderful host and CD Cindy and Dennis. After several minutes of conversation, I asked Cindy if it was ok to maiden my new Goblin Gasser. She said no problem! I informed her that I would go to the far end of the runway just in case.

I fueled my Goblin and found a small leak in the fuel return line at the tank. It seeps, but not bad enough to be concerned...

A couple of flights a week recently.

Improving control when inverted but still only in a straight line with occasional rudder and elevator inputs.

Rpm at 2800.

Thinking of going to 2600, 2800, 3000 as per absolute limits according to headspeed M. Mels calc
