This does not show a build video as I think that would be redundant (it's not that different) but does go into all the changes and I do a good overview and build of the major change which is the head and thrust bearings.

If you all feel I need to cover some build things let me know and I will.

ENJOY!

Hi Bob, I need your help setting up my HK 450 v2 heli from hobbyking, i need help only with ccpm settings and head assembly correctly. I am having alot of difficulties to set my heli up, because im new to this hobby, i have flown my heli with bad settings but it is so much difficult to fly it with bad settings. Kindly make a build video for trex 450 se v2 with hk t6a Radio plz. or build exactly hk 450 v2 if you can please. so that i will be able to set head rotor assembly perfectly. i have seen your build video of trex 450 se, its great , but it is not helping me with ccpm and head assembly and linkages, may be there are some differences between my heli and the trex 450 se, but not se v2 .
Regards
Ibrahim

Finless Whats important is that all the bearing blocks line up e.g. the main shaft goes in smoothly into the blocks, etc. On a 450 with a plastic bottom plate it is no big deal if that is not level.

Frame issue

Just building the trex450 sport, any tips on getting the frames to sit level on a glass table, as per manual page 9, I've loosened all the screws and slowly tightened them all but it always tweaks when I tighten the motor mount? Should I be concerned about a 1-2mm rock on the front right side, im guessing yes?

Thanks in advance

Very nice Video to watch!

Dear Mr. Bob.

I have grown on your build videos over the years. )))

Kimono12 he items used in this build are as follows:Align T-Rex 450 SE V2
Align 430XL motor
Align 2100 18C lipo
Spektrum 6100 rx
Futaba 401 gyro
Hitec HS-56 Servos
Futaba 3154 tail servo
I will go through the build a step at a time. I have not followed the manual as the SE V2 comes mostly assembled. I built the model in the most logical manner given what is already assembled.

Finless Probably not. Align has not asked me to do anything since the 450 Pro came out. Not sure why but honestly I have no desire to buy the V2 3GX any time soon for myself. I am enjoying my Vbar 450 Pro. However if I ever do buy one, trust I will do a video on it.

Brutal Newbie

Hi Bob. I am a Brutal Newbie meaning that I don't even know the basics of helicopter terminology or how the mechanics relate to the electronics (servos) and how that all relates to the programming.

I watched many of your videos and of course they are indeed excellent but I think I need to go back even further to understand the different types of mechanics and how they work so I can truly understand how the mechanics, electonics and radio programming work together. I do understand this for rc aircraft whose complexity pales in comparison to heli's so I was wondering if you could suggest videos or laymans text descriptions of how this all works.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Robert

Finless Go to the heli skills and setup 101 thread. I have videos on CCPM setup, throttle curves, gyro, etc etc all done with the 450 V1. Use the V2 overview vids for the rest.
