Hi all,
I thought that if I got a 9channel receiver it would be easy to set up the AUX4 to control a SwitchGlow pro. But when I go into the Device select,AUX4 can only be mapped to AUX3 which is a slider(not good) Pit lv/AUX2/or FMOD. Why couldn't it also map to itself? Would be very easy to use then. So is there an easy way of doing this or not? Thanks, George |

Why can't you assign the Aux2 switch(FLAP) to Aux4 output on the receiver?.

I have switch glow mapped to the gear channel/switch. By enabling the extra two flight (5 total), and mapping the aile d/r switch to the extra flight modes, you can setup your governor to turn on and off with the aile d/r switch.
If you need the specific settings, let me know.

thanks to all that replied.
I gave up on getting an answer after a couple of days so just got the push button extension for it to turn on. |

I setup two programmable mixes... I can't remember them off the top of my head, but the end result is that the switchglo will only turn on in Normal mode, with the throttle stick below 20%. This prevents all possible hot starts.
I'm wondering if the mix is interfering with the governor though, since my GV-1 doesn't appear to turn on when I go into Idle up. I'm beginning to think the perfect setup would be something along the lines of: SwitchGlo only turns on when the following conditions are met: Throttle stick below 20% Flight mode in Normal Gear or some other switch is turned on. This would prevent all hotstarts and allow you to control when the glow is applied, as the buzzing does get annoying.

I got my Governor to work, had nothing to do with my programmable mixes.
But here's what I have for a mix: Programmable mix 1: FMOD->AUX3 SW: On in Normal, Off in all other modes. Point 0: -23 (You might have to adjust this) Point 1: -100 Point 2:-100 Point 3: -100 Point 4: INH Point 5: INH Point 6: -100 This mix controls what flight mode you want the Switchglo to be on in. I have it set to only activate in NORMAL mode. If you have the extra 2 flight modes enabled, you'll have to set point 4 and 5 as well. Point 6 is the hold menu if I remember right. On my radio, -100 disables the switch glo. Programmable Mix #2: THRO->AUX 3 SW: On in Normal, Off in all other modes. Point 0: -23 (You may have to adjust this) Point 1: INH Point 2: -100 Point 3: -100 Point 4: -100 Point 5: -100 Point 6: -100 This mix tells the switchglo to only activate when the throttle is below ~15% or so. Point 0 might have to be adjusted depending on how the switchglo was calibrated.
