problem is vbar will initialise with one bad sat whereas ace will seemingly not a huge plus in aces favour, I'd much rather have an early warning system than a failsafe,
I'm gonna run some tests on both units soon regarding these issues as right now there is some speculation but for now I'd rather fly my ace with sats than my vbars, theyre going futaba now |

[quoteAlso the feature that allows the satellite light to flash to indicate brown-out does not work.][/quote].
From cleggies post, so more confusion? i'm waiting to place my money So besides faulty sat wires and Tx failure ,what else could kill signal ? What causes 'interference'? I see the GT5 availability is pushed off till Jan. now , if its delayed some more i'll get the new bX & solve my questions. |

Well did some more tests if you cut signal wire on sats both vbar and ace will still show solid led's so no good, the ace did however pick up a problem with a sat which vbar didnt, dunno what it was but it would not initialse whereas vbar did,
NEw b/x spektrum is probably the way to go. only sats is an absolute no go for me |

Yes it's true - we are paranoid - but with reason..
After all, how many people left their homes in the last week and were killed in a car accident... as they say - "Crap Happens".. it's not just a wives tale.. How many people enter lotteries - why? Chances are very very slim... but it can happen, that's why.. I guess if I flew in a large enough area - say 1/2 mile x 1/2 mile then I'd feel a lot more at ease as that would significantly lower the potential impact of a runaway heli. However, where I often fly is nowhere near that large.

We can't call Stolla paranoid, one of his TDR's bit the dust due to loss of reception by the two SAT's.
Stolla is a very skilled and experienced pilot, and a meticulous builder, so I'd not for one minute think that it was human error. For me just losing a heli is not the major concern, it's if the runaway heli made it's way into people. For now I'll only use it on my 450's. I'm 100% confident that they will get these bugs sorted, and it will become one of the major players on the market - they already have superb control.
