Are you using a separate Rx in your installation????
Only way to use a CPII with your setup.

After setting up, defining the remote switch position during Quick setup, leave the switch in the OFF position from that point on. If CPII is in the On position then the swash will tilt unless you in a wide open area. Also make sure that Auto Trim is set to Off when flying a FBL system. Hope this helps, Jack

I'm planning to buy a TREX 450 Pro V2. I will be installing the CPll on it. I'm trying to decide between the flybar version, or the DFC flybarless.
My question is: which one would be better for an amateur flyer? I've had good luck with the CPll system on a flybarred heli. Is the setup for a DFC flybarless harder to set up, or would it be about the same? I'm planning to use the ALIGN 3GX with a Spektrum receiver. Thanks for any advice! Joe |

First off the CPII HD setup would be the same. As for which one would be best for you an armature. You are going to find people with different opinions on this topic but IMO the FBL is so precise and exacting in its response to the pilots input, it would be the best. It also has the advantage of less parts to maintain and or repair in case of a crash. The FBL system can be tuned to be on the docile side for a beginner as well. However, there is one recommendation, if are using CPII on a FBL system, it is to not turn CPII ON while helicopter is spooled up on the ground. Wait, once the skids leave the ground then turn CPII ON. Hope the helps, Jack

Jack,
Thanks for your advice. That 450 DFC pro is looking very attractive! Joe |
