Hi Barry, congrats on ordering this heli. Mine arrived yesterday. Would love to share our experiences during the building process if you're interested.

Did you order the super combo with all electronic components plus the KDS E-bar, or did you just get the kit and if so, which components will you get for it ?

I ordered the kit. I have motor esc, Ikon gyro and servos. Turnigy 600 4030 1100kv motor. Castle creations 100a esc. CC bec pro.

Yes, price is about the same with shipping from HK.

Yah its funny HK is known for selling really cheap stuff ie the HK-600 which you have to make all kinds of upgrades right off the bat. Then they get a batch of KDS Innova's which are much higher in quality than anything they have carried prior. Can we say Competition class Heli's. The Innova 700's have been placing very high in the 3Dx competitions flown by Jaehong Lee. I hope just because HK is selling them it does not hurt the helis name.

Helicopterhobbies also has parts in stock, and is alot easier on the pocket book after a crash than say a Trex....
Blades are the major ouch and there just no getting around that.....

Actually, I was referring to the kit differences. Just concerned because the pics don't match the HK site. I like the other canopy design.

HK sells cheap stuff, but they have said that their KDS line are their "premium pro class" helis. I just was hoping for a US seller, or are these also coming from overseas?

KDS is manufactured in China like most are. Charles at Helicopterhobbies can fix you up. And there is an even newer canopy design that wraps around but has not been released yet.

No, I'm aware they are, I was just wondering if they're shipping them from US locations instead of China. That way I could save on freight costs by ordering the frame from HH and the other bits from HK.

Helicopter Hobbies has them in stock and ships out of South Carolina...

It shows a picture of the new KDS700 wrap around canopy.

Do you have a 550? if so then the Mikado Logo 500 canopy would be a great alternative. I have one on mine - fits nicely with very little adjustments needed. (mainly relocating the holes)

You can have Fusano custom paint one with KDS on a logo canopy....
