very nice new canopy design innova 700

I was cruising some thai website and found an entire thread of canopies I had never seen before. I don't know if they are prototypes or what but I like them a lot! Looks very logo-esque or 7hv, or even TDR style the way they wrap back around behind the frames.

Hopefully the new designs will hit the market soon and it's not just prototype! I like it!

So... I guess Thailand gets all the cool stuff. I checked that thread again, on the last page. There's some new helicopter on there, plus more new canopies ( like a + cutout for vents), new ebar pics, etc)

On my 550 I am going to use a Logo 500 canopy as well - fits nicely

, I sent them an email and asked. They gave me pricing and shipping cost within a day, together with a sampling of pictures with different schemes.

I have had Fusano make canopies for me before and they always came out beautiful....

True, I recently bought a custom canopy from Fusuno for the Innova 700v2 that I am assembling.
However, Fusuno don't have the latest style of wrap-around canopy shape that this thread was about, it is only available from maskpro right now (they OEM it for KDS).

Compared to the "old" style that is open in the back, the wrap-around design appeal much more to me (also have a L500 that I think look great). The difference is worth the $ IMHO.

Maskpro quoted me $90 plus $30 for shipping, which is more than Fusuno ($65) but around the same as Canomod.

I corresponded with Maskpro and also received the quote of $120. However, that is way more money than I am willing to spend on a maskpro canopy. I feel they are poor quality. The paint lines are not crisp, and the fiberglass is very rough on the inside of the 2 maskpro's I have. I'd pay a lesser amount for one (if they ever start production on them), or just fly what I have.

You have a point about the quality of maskpro, the canopy included in the kit did have fuzzy lines and stress cracks in the clear coat. But I do have more $$$ than sense and like the new rounder KDS canopies, so they had my order today

Yeah, it will work but i'm not a fan of outright copying and the Logo canopy on another heli would not sit right with me (I have a L500 3D, great heli). The new KDS shape is their own as far as I can tell.

Pics of it mounted on the heli will follow as soon as I get my grubby little hands on it, oh yes!

I ordered a set of Booya quick mounts today too, they may need some modification to get the correct standoff distance for the 700v2 but looks like a good system. When I flew the L500 in -7C a few weeks ago I almost cracked the canopy trying to remove it from the grommets, don´t want that happening to this one
