Hello guys,
My T-Rex700E-Conversion was pretty much totaled last weekend after a mid-air collision with another heli. It was bad enough losing the heli, but my trusty PowerJazz took quite a beating too as seen in the photos (3rd Picture). It appears that to get it back going it is only a matter of replacing the two capacitors and installing a new fan and wire connector. Anybody know of an RC company that does Kontronik repairs here in the US or do I need to send it in to Germany? Thanks for your help. Chachin..

Thank you Magneto. I will fill it out and have it mailed out to Kontronik this week to get the process started. Luckily I have a spare PJ that I can use in the meantime for the new 700E machine I'm building.
Chachin..

First send them email and ask their opinion, you cant open it up and they dont make em anymore, you can use external caps fix wire use another fan or no fan at all, pjazz is not nearly as good as jive anyway so dont waste money on obsolete stuff imop, i had a couple of them but once i got jive stopped using them

Thanks for the info Stolla. I agree, the PowerJives are superb controllers, but if I can get this one fixed for a reasonable price (I have a dollar limit on the repair form), then I think it's worth it for the 700 size projects I have underway. I have a total of 4 PJ's in operation and they have performed excellently over the years. I have to say though that a couple of them have started to vary RPMs sometimes on spool up and reprogramming won't fix the issue.
Anyways, I got caught up with festivities and building my new 700E and haven't shipped this yet. I now have the form filled out and am ready to ship it this Monday to Germany, but I have a quick question before packaging: To ship to Kontronik, is it recommended to remove all connectors from the ESC or does it not matter? Chachin..
