Default Programming ESC.

So I'm not sure which way to jump at this point. I'm running a 1300kv motor using the stock YGE. Those using Skookum units, should I run through all the wizards before programming the esc? I see a throttle/governor setup wizard, but know I also have to program the ESC with the TX and/or programming card.

Also, should I program with the TX first and then use the programming card to change settings, or should I just use the program card right from the start? I plan to use gov store, but at this point just want to get everything programmed to get me far enough along to test the motor, and make sure it's spinning in the right direction before hiding the motor wires up front.

What settings should I be changing if running 6S?

Setup the fbl.
Then setup the esc with the prog card, don't worry about tx programming.
You can do the full programming of the esc and the the gov store setup in one go.
If the motor spins backwards, it's a minor inconvenience to swap, but you have a 50% chance of getting it right first go, I'm about 80% lucky in my builds do far.
The recommended settings are on the MSH manuals and that's all I use.

I cheat, I use the receiver that came with the DX8 and just figure out which way the motor spins at the start of the build then label the wires. I use coloured heat shrink wrap.
