Default Kosmik heatsink with fan.

Just arrived.

It simply plugs in to one of the sensor ports.

Just need to know what side and wheres the best place to put it?

I would but it in the middle on top where the fet sits under, the whole top area serves as a heat sink for the fet, its a nice compact unit.

Can you put a photo up Ben?

How are you planning on fixing this to the ESC?

Was wondering about the thermal tape - are we sure that this won't leave any sort of marking on the Kosmiks surface?

I've just seen the timing out message as well????

Even if it does it will be a lot less than using Artic Silver thermal adhesive or the like

Yeah I suppose you're right about that.

Wouldn't mind knowing though from anyone who has used the tape before.

By using the heatsink on the helijive/jive you can increase its amp rating. Does the same apply to the Kosmik as well?

No, in a word. The Kosmik can go over 200a. It can peak much much higher but if it hits this max, even for a millisecond it will shut down. Having the heatsink/fan will aid in the cooling which will help to delay it shutting down if you are driving it hard

I do not know at what value the 160 will perform a hard shut down.
