I had a head wobble in my x7 and that gave me a excuse to try the vbar.
I did find the vbar very easy to setup and the head wobble was completely gone. I threw the sk540 in a 450pro and it flies amazing, even Alvin said its one of the nicest flying 450's he ever flew. So that means my wobble was a setting that I was to lazy to work through. I also find the vbar flies no better than the sk540. To get to my point is, they are both great units just the sk540 cost me 225.00 and the vbar ran me 400.00 after the pro software. I wont be converting any other helis

Also don't forget that the silverline vbar is the direct comparison to the sk540, they use the same sensors. The blue and mini vbar use the same sensor as the beastx. So consider that for price differences. $225 beastx, or $400 vbar, then $250 skookum vs 500 silver.
also, the only two on the market that use the new pinpoint sensors, are the sk720 black, and the spartan. That means... ---beastx, vbar blue <sk540, silver vbar <sk black, vortex---. Seems like game, set, match against vbar in my mind.

I've had this wobble on my 450 which turned out to be self tuning bell gains being not so smart....
Once SK updates the documentation and troubleshooting tips I expect there will be a lot less hair pulling.

skookum wont tell what sensore they are using but definately not the top of the range sensors like sk720 be. My guess is they use same senors as mini vbar but they use two sensors instead of one and that makes the sk540 perform so well. |
