Default So how big is the battery tray?

People talking about which batteries to use. I need to order mine,

but what are the innter dimensions of the battery tray?

What batteries will fit.?

Seen no mention of that. Your battery only has to be a couple off mm too big and it won't fit in the frames?

If any one knows the max. size please let me (us) know

thanks!

Just from reading up I'd go with the x2 6s 5000 mah's, looks like Alan was said to fly about 6minute's hard 3D, what more can you ask for?

Apparently, "what more can he ask for" is the actual physical measurements of the inside of the battery tray, so that he can select a brand of battery that fits inside it. Not all 5000 mAh 6S batteries are the same shape or volume.

You'll have aprox. 6cm between the frames. (60mm)

If you by chance have a 700N, You can double check by measuring that. It's going to be the exact same width.

Be careful when ordering your batteries in regards to their weight. In most cases, chosing a battery with a slightly less mAh and much lighter will result in better flight characteristics and very similar flight times.

A 4500mAh battery weighing under 700g's is optimal. (x2)

So what is the best way to go:
4500mah or 5000mah?

That depends...
Do you want a helicopter that is light and nimble? ...Or, do you want one that tracks better and makes a little more momentum?

I am thinking these Turnigy 4500mAh 6S 30C packs http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=10284
They weigh +/- 750gr each
