Default Chinese Weight Tail Mod

Well did alot of research and it works like a charm..

Tail now spins like a demon!!! and stops on a dime... tested with my finger and you can feel the pressure difference on the servo with and without it on.

Needless to say i gotta learn to control my tail again, its super fast now LOL.

It looks simple to do. I did some search but i see people put weight on both sides. In the out side like you have it and inside. Here is a link

http://www.rc-tek.com/us_store/rct-4...bly-p1816.html

Does it work good on one side?

I know about RC-teks stuff..

Although my research on the subject its on one side only... RC Teck Claims theirs works like that as well, i didnt have a long enough 2mm screw to try it their way.

Search rc groups for this mod you will see there all using it on one side As was done for years on rc models and on the real Helicopters.

The further out you put the weight the less pressure on the servo and the faster your piro rate... i found that it being right next to the grip was more than enough for me.

I will try and find a long 2mm threaded screw to try it on both sides and see what the difference is.

namely read this thread scroll down to Heli-Headcase's Post.

Ok here is his reply to me via pm.

"You can "get by" with weight on one side but this really is unbalanced. It should be done on both side so weight is distributed evenly in the disk otherwise you risk bearings and what not being side loaded and thus wearing out or something.

Bob"

So thats it then, best to have the weight on each side. Have to go and hunt down some longer 2mm screws (not easy to find on this tiny island)

Or i may just get the grips from RC-Tek. There is also another company selling it for the Trex which had good reviews (no real reviews on rc-teks) lemme find the link..

Ok found em.
