Default Not for me

Installed one of the yellow and black solid plastic 911 canopies - I found it amplified the noise of the helicopter to an anoying level, also reduced the performance due to the increased weight - I have now gone back to stock.

I use those canopies for mCP X since Jul 2011.

I think FP100 canopy is even better (little heavier but much stronger):

Ya i got both those canopys for 1 buck or two but i didnt like them, way to heavy but tuff wasn't for me
This canopy feels really flexable with breaking on the first hit + moulded one piece unlike the cheap HH.
The best part trimmed down i got the weight .02 grams heavier

Upgraded to the black / orange canopy.
I punched 4 new holes to have it sit more aft. I like it very much :-)

I did not trim anything, but could get rig of the aft stock holes.

Looks like the battery sits far back compared to the stock position.... how does this effect the COG ?

When using the Airtime skids you're supposed to cut of the two tabs on the batteries. When done you can push it past the rear skid legs and all the way into the front ones. You need to slot it through the rear hole both when inserting and removing the battery.

I does not fly well when the battery is dislocated rearwards.

Actually, sitting this far back, it would be more similar to how the stock Nano canopy sits.

@phantomphixer
Nice pictures and heli. Looks so glossy and "PRO."

Thanks

Actually when flying I push the battery much forward. Not all fwd, but with its black connecting end sitting just under the main shaft. This is how the bird is balanced best.

I installed a $3 canopy last week. I was skeptical at first, but it has grown on me. I've bounced it off the cement a couple of times and it survived just fine. I think I am going to order a couple more.

I like beautifull canopies but I like much more to fly with my Nano. So please, as weight is very important for the Nano, give the weight of your canopies.
