Default Revo Diamond 6S 5000 packs

I went to order a few REvo Diamond 60C 6S 5000 packs and it appears they want you to call the Singapore office for pricing.

Is this because they are out of stock and we need to place an order?

Thanks

Generally yes, that's what it means although I'm not certain in this case.

You can email (john@leoindustries.com) or IM John directly (skype id: nrgcells) if that's easier for you.

How can they be out of stock when they build the packs the day you order?

Good question. The packs are made to order, but out of necessity are constructed using cells created in batches (the cell manufacturing process takes a lot of time as they go through multiple time intensive stages including drying and forming charges.)

REVO LIPO PRODUCTION (13 min 1 sec)

Generally if they ran out it would be for all packs using a particular cell of that C rating and capacity (e.g. all Diamond Label 5000mAh cell counts.) In this case it's only the 6S listing 'Call For Price' so that's why the reason is unclear. Could just be that the price is so low they don't want to advertise it.

So I got a reply fron "john" at revo in Singapore that larger packs are harder to ship. Not sure what that means . Looks like I'll be buying other packs.

Thanks for posting, Todd. I have some more information from "john" (John Grzan is the President/CEO of Revolectrix.)

A year ago they started shipping their larger packs using a split-pack design in order to maintain accurate power ratings on the label and meet stricter IATA shipping regulations for Lithium batteries. As a result of the change, people have been more hesitant to buy their packs, leaving them in a quandary. Other companies have avoided those regulations by "derating" their labels, which, as you can imagine is a risky tactic as well as having ethical problems.

I'm talking with John about options and remain hopeful they'll be able to provide some compelling offerings for us in the U.S. soon. Sorry for your difficulty in the meantime.

@hemp - why doesn't it impact the 427blend packs? I just received two in the mail 3 weeks ago.

It does. Those are still shipping as SPLIT packs and he's not as worried about people going to the competition to buy them since there really is no competition in that market yet.

That would be welcome - I placed an order for some 427 6S 4800 packs last week and had a mail waiting this a.m. letting me know that they couldn't ship them due to IATA regs. Bit of a bummer.
