Default Finally!! Aluminum Swashplate

Yeah, no more pinching back together separated swashplates! I was hoping these would come out soon.

Stuff from Rakon seems to have slowed down, same with Lynx for that matter. I personally like MH stuff, so I won't be waiting.

Easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission. LOL!

Only because I have ben dealing with Rakon for a long time. They have ben very good to me for doing reviews for them.

However, ever since I did the review for them on the 130x, I have not heard from them at all! So, might go with MH on this one, I dont know yet. I am wondering how much extra weight they will add.

good point! she has no idea about the MH landing gear and tail fin i ordered today

but back on topic, i think the added strength & precision will be worth the fraction of a gram of weight added...

Did anyone else notice it has a rear anti-rotation pin? It looks like you can also order it with an anti-rotation guide for a couple of bucks more.

I wonder if there is a frame coming. Or a retrofit to the existing frame to move the pin to the back....

Default more JB

I epoxied my canopy mounts back on with pieces of small cf rod. The front goes across both sides, stopping short of the ends so the canopy grommets have room to snap on.
On the top right one, the cf rod fit in a little pocket in the frame towards the rear, JB'd it in there and across.
Oh yeah...put a little ring of shrink tube around the end for insurance.
I did my Mcpx the same way, and it has lasted a long time.

Andy,

That's cool!! Am I understanding it correctly that the rear anti-rotation guide "clamps" over the back of the frame instead of being glued, so that it can be removed and swapped if/when I need to replace the frame?

Looks to me like there is a piece that is maybe glued to the frame that you then screw the ar guide into?

Hi Thanasi,

Yes, that is what you are going to get, but not quite 100%. The combo that you ordered is the BEST out there and will not come with the Long Anti-Rotation Pin since you will never use it with our Anti-Rotation Guide.

This is one of the smallest precision swashplate I've ever designed since 2001.

Hope you like it!

Hi RCNet,

Correct, it's clamped securely onto the frame without using glue.

Regards,
Andy Nguyen,
