Default Motor for sale??

So I put my 550 in the dirt pretty bad a couple weeks ago and it was not good. Everything broke or bent. Luckily I have a lot of spares, even an extra frame. My beloved Tonic X Z30 motor got the worst of it though and I'm in need of either a bell for a Z30 1100kv, or a whole new motor. I will pay anyone that might have an extra bell or a rebuildable core Z30. I can rewind it. Or even point me in the right direction for magnets. That's what happened is the magnets in my motor shattered. All of them. Thanks.

Hyperion 4020-910's are on ebay for $45-50.
I'm hoping it's like the Z20a 980 I used to have.

Easy on packs with performance.

It is nothing like the old Z-Power ( Tonic-X ) motors unfortunately. The Hyperion 4020-910 is the same as the stock Gaui X5 motor and the Scorpion 4020-910 as they are all made by Scorpion, and are all very inefficient like all Scorpion motors. Guys are getting 3:30 - 4:00 flights on the Gaui X5 with 4700mah batteries and those motors.

I wish Z-Power motors were still available. They were the most efficient motors that I have ever used, and still made lots of power.

Well that's unfortunate. I like the idea and will look into rewinding the 4020-910 to Z20a spec. Glad the price is low.
Would like to try an xnova but I'm not really willing to spend that kind of money on an individual component.

There are some guys either here or on RCG that offered rewinding. I think a guy posted an add in one of the free sections looking for burnt motors for him to rewind for a hobby.

I rewound my Z20 about 2 years ago. Ended up with a 947kv motor. It was an interesting project and not that tough after winding, re-winding, etc. a few times to figure it out.

If you like to learn new stuff, give it a try, just don't waste you money on bad wire from the "Shack" - once I got real motor winding wire on Ebay the difference was dramatic on how the wire wound. < $20 for the wire and stuff needed.

How many turns and what size wire did you go with?

Delta termination winding with 4 ( maybe 5 can't recall ) turns. Both 22 & 20 gauge, 2 strands of the 20 and a single of the smaller to help fill in the spaces.
