Your collective range is too small.
You will need to increase it.

HI,
my T-REX 500 ESP has a pitch curve from -3° to +12° in normal.
The quick setup require to set pitch to 0° and 8° with the gauge. If I set 0° and 6° the display warning: "YAW/COL. SETUP IS OUT OF RANGE" will occour if 8° no!
So if I try to soft emergency recovery with +6° also with the warning present, is the system full functionally?

Never tried to fly while it had the warning displayed..

Suggest you go back and correct the pitch range to eliminate the error message before you fly.

Hi I-FELN,

I am saying this just to make sure we are on the same page. Leave you pitch curve set to -3 to +12 degrees in normal and I am guessing you have +or- 12 degrees in idle up. If that is the case then the 0 to +6 or 0 to +8 degrees setting during quick setup should work without getting an error. At least that is the way it has works on my Trex 500 equipped with an Align 3G FBL system. Other wise I don't know what would cause the error message.

Like Nightflyr said, be cautious about flying with the error message present. It may not be a problem but then again it may be. Most likely not worth taking the chance. If message persists, give Howard a call at FMA for additional assistance.

Jack

Thank Jack,
I had set the pitch in quick setup to +8° to avoid the warning message.
B.Regards

A little information required...

1) Do you have your flight mode switch set up?

2) What modes did you assign to it?

3) If you have an FBL set up, are you powering up the CPII with it switched off and with auto trim set to 0 ?

If you have the CPII / HD set up as listed in item 3, the HD LED will come on for a few seconds at power up then turn off (SOP)
The HD LED is on once you switch on the CPII in HD mode to show you it is on and operational.
