Dang....
Dang and tarnation-mother fetching-son of brick-bollards and duck!
Well, its been a long time coming but mother earth shifted a few degrees off axis to come up and meet my previously unblemished Hurri today (exluding the beach landing where mother earth wasn't quite small enough to accomodate my 'big dipper' loop). There I was happily testing my none too extensive range of skills when old age, poor eyesight, poor light (glare), dumb thumbs and a "which way up is that bird???" moment led to a collision of astral bodies (Hurricane=2kilos versus Mother Earth='somewhat heavier!') Net result=blades, head, skids, boom etc etc..........usual suspects! Plus side=no cameras present ha ha

Yeh Marco, batteries saved but trashed all the pretty bits, Ben has the poor girl in ICU for repairs, he is also doing some optical improvements for me (Trex 600 Canopy, 550 carbons, rex 600 skids, and a big sign on the top of the head button saying "THIS WAY UP")
Gizmo beat ya Marco, he probably has some sneaky photos from the stratosphere of the accident, (if you have them bro...send 'em coz neither of us can work out what happened!!!)

Welll.....
From low orbit after readjusting for low light, we took a SWAG (Scientific Wild Assed Guess- for Marco who doesn't follow acronyms)
And wrote it off to OHS (Operator Head Space- for Marco) But the detail was a tad fuzzy... One of the guys was following some pretty ladies down the beach wearing thong bikinis... |

oh yeah- so if y'all have been wondering 'just where the hell is that handsome intelligent young man who makes all of our lives so much better' well... i have an answer- just moved (as i think you all know) and no internet at my house...
they were supposed to come last wednesday and hook it up but i got called into work early so when the guy showed up, i wasn't there however, they're supposed to come back friday and i specifically got the time off work so i can be there when the comcast guy shows up. so, like it or not, i will be back in full swing next weekend. happy flying (or drunk flying) everyone btw- sorry to hear about the crash jb... you really have to stop flying where there are scantly clad women. if, however, you would like to learn nose in, i suggest turning your body 180 degrees away from your heli when you bring the nose towards you. that way, your orientation will be back to normal! (although line of sight will be affected just a tiny little bit) oh- love the scotch tape canopy fix. it'd look better with some undies and glue tho. i bet mike has some extras, but they might be a little... well... |
