Default 3GX Governor Sensor on Electric 450?

I was reading through some other forums and saw some guys putting the Align governor sensor on the frame right by the main gear.

They say that they can get the 3GX to govern the headspeed on electric helicopters.

Does anyone have experience or information with this?

Pic attached of the governor sensor mounted on a Trex 800E. Right above the main gear.

The sensor is only 10 dollars.

Every thing is fine. Look carefully on the first pic. this heli has align APS system installed. APS system requires governor sensor, be cos in one of its modes you have to set throttle curve in the transmitter as a straight line. APS automatically controls then angels of main blades and speed of rotor head. Without sensor connected you have no control of throttle in this mode only constant value set in the transmitter, this plus automatic angel control (automatic pitch control) will give you very high battery drain when the system tries to keep the model on constant height.
