Default 120 Tail Motors getting stiff to turn...

Hi all, i am on my 2nd or could be the 3rd, 120 tail motor and now its just started to stiffen up to the point i am losing the tail authority now and then, the motors have got a little hot but not excessively so, has any one else had this problem? does anyone do any maintenance / oiling with these? Not sure how many flights I've had with each motor but it is quite a few. Thanks for any info.

Wow, I'm still on my first SR120 tail motor and it's still going strong after 3 months of flying. I've never even fed it a drop of oil or anything. I've actually been wondering when this motor is ever going to give out. I used to have to change the tail motors on my old BladeCP so often that I got sick of it and converted it to brushless tail just for longer motor life. But this one keeps going and going.

My 120 tail motor just went today. It was fine yesterday. Luckily I was test-flying for other things. After hovering for 30 seconds or so I took it down to check on the bird and by accident I touched the 120 motor with my fingers and noticed it was hot, which has never been before. Motor still spins freely but seems like the fastest it spins the more resistance it got (electrical short). Made sure tail wires weren't short and then powered up again. Smoke came out of the rear holes of the motor. Tried compress air to blow out anything inside but no luck. Will dissect to see what's wrong. I suspect brush dust shorted out something inside. Have had 130 flights on the motor. Have an mSRx main motor to go in but I'm reluctant because I was already complaining 120 motor too heavy. The mSRx motor is even longer. Will need to remove gear to use the mSRx motor anyways. Maybe I just swap the endcap to the 120 motor.

Hi all!
I have not repaired my 120 tail motor. Just bought another for just $ 3.99!

Weight and appearance is the same as stock.
Used Google translator: all claims to it.
