My 4g3 red turbo ace dbl brushless 2.9g tail was just about to lift at half throttle when it was new 20 packs ago, 3 days. Now it needs 3/4 throttle and that seems bad to me. So I'm planning on upping the pitch. Does that sound right? What's best way to up pitch.

What I've already done:
I already set my 2801tx to 100% at stage 4 and 5 and it still doesn't have that much lift so I"ll set it back. New blades didn't help so that's not it. blades turn freely and she flys fine, just not that much lift. I have 500mah 15c batts that fully charge per my lcd on the charger putting back over 500mah's 2 times.

Other thoughts?

Look at the flybar and feathering shaft, also your blade grips to feathering shaft. Even an un-noticable bend can deminish performance.

Most folk set up CP helis these days so that there is an equal amount of positive and negative pitch - so with a linear pitch curve you would have 0 degrees pitch at mid-stick. With the 4G3 you don't want any more than about +/-10 or the tail won't hold on full collective punches - even with the 2.9g motor. For take-off you need 4 or 5 degrees which would be at close to 75% collective - in other words it's normal to take-off at 3/4 throttle - but strange it was taking off at mid-stick (1/2 throttle) before. Check the blade tracking - if it's out, something needs attention.
If everything is ok, you can increase the pitch range by upping the pitch value in your swashmix.

If this is your first CP heli I would watch Finless Bob's CCPM set up vids, then you'll know what you want to adjust, how to adjust it, and why
