Default Good binocular magnifying glass?

I'm currently using something like this (one fixed dual eye lens, one flip out dual eye, and one high magnification monocle lens): http://www.amazon.com/SE-MH1047L-Ill...dp/B003UCODIA/

It was a gift so I can't complain much, but to complain just a little - lenses are plastic, collect dirt and get scratched when removing it real fast, the high magnification lens has its own character, hard plastic on the headband makes spending more than a few minutes in this a torture.

Was considering a magnifying lamp, but my recollection of all those flimsy arms repels me from this idea.

Is there a decent head mounted binocular magnifier? Here's one I'm currently looking at, haven't found anything better yet (well, that is, assuming this is as good as it looks): http://www.amazon.com/Headband-Strap...dp/B00ATMDOA2/

My dentist has a set that is bad ass and I bet not cheap. They are made onto a pair of safety glasses with a super bright focused LED in the middle with a battery pack on his belt. I'll ask him next time I go in.

Those medical optics are made by eisenbach usually. Ground in Europe. And yes expensive. I found a magnifying table lamp more convenient for helis but not at the field.

I ended up buying that 8 lens device - quite happy with it, it's quite versatile and comfortable to wear.

Beware, though, that the build quality is exactly what you'd expect for $18.
