Want to use V3 with 1S lipo
I want to use my Eagletree Datalogger V3 + display to measure the headspeed of my 1S heli.
The V3 doesn’t work on 1S. Can I do the following: Connect a 3S battery to the V3 and connect 1 wire from the RPM sensor to a motor wire AND connect the minus from the 1S battery to the minus from the 3S battery. I expect the V3 to measure the motor pulses relative to the minus pole – or am I wrong? See attachement!

I think that as long as the et is powered up it will start to log readings from its sensors. I would think then you could hook the 3s to the ET, and then the RPM sensor to the motor of your 1s bird and just run with it. I dont see a reason why you would need to connect the 1s to the 3s in any way.

Connection is needed as signal is measured relative to ground.
