Default Newbie to fbl builds. Rotorhead help velocity 90

Hello All
I've built over 30 heli's in my time but most have been Align or compass(just worked out that way) and all bar one have been flybar heads. The only other FBL I've built is a compass 6HV and that has a very diffferent head to the Velocity 90 I'm now building. I loved the velocity 50 I built so bought this one for myself but the instruction manual appears to stop short of where I would like it to. I've built all the head parts but could somebody please confirm a few things. The bolt through the center hub is shown going through the center of three holes on the hub and the 2nd larger hole of the main shaft. this leaves the main shaft appearing to leave a lot of air/gap above the top of the shaft. If you look through the hole behind the outrage logo on the hub it comes up half way. Is that correct? Second the manual stops short of showing the swash and swash driver assembly fitted to the main shaft. Could somebody please take a close up photo of a completed fbl head or point me to one. I've looked at a few and some show the swash driver butting up to the hub and others 1-2 cm below.Which is correct and what are you trying to acheive? Should the long link be completly vertical from swash up to the blade grip? Help please? Lastly someone pointed out a mistake in the manual about the postioning of the linkage balls on fbl head. So how would I know if mine is right?
Thanks

The swash lock is simple.

You need to set two things as you tighten up the lock screw, both need to be done as part of the set up with the radio on.

With pitch at mid stick, you want to set the height of tehswash lock so the mixer arms are horizontal, and then turn the swash lock around the main shaft until the long links from the swash to the grips are perfectly lined up with the main shaft.

The erro in the instructions is the drawing of the swash, it is a mirroeimaged drawing. The balls on the extended arms go in from the other side.. If you have it right a straight line drawn across the centre of the swash will also line up the two grip balls.

For Vbar I found there is way too much mechanical gain on the head setup as stock, so set the balls on the grips to the outer holes, and the balls on the bell cranks to the inner holes, you will need to find servo horns ( or drill discs) to match the bell crank spacings

The head mounting in the manual is correct.
