I dont understand you. What is incorrect?

The HN6103A has the same amount of bearings, same size and in same positions as my 700E v2 tail has. From tail rotor shaft and out, first two radial bearings, then one thrust bearing.

Are we still saying that I have another tail than the 'v2 HN6103A' ? It looks very like, with same no of bearings, size and placements...

I guess I'm wrong because on my v2 manual I have the old style 1 bearing 1 thrust bearing setup.... Yet your picture shows clearly the 2 bearing setup....

How many versions of the v2 kit are out?

It's possible to add a second radial bearing to the stock tail grips. You just need to use a round headed bolt otherwise the stock square headed bolt will rub on the tail blades. I've done it on my 700n and it reduces the slop quite significantly.

I believe KDE has an upgrade for the tail that does exactly that.

Yes they do although you can also just buy the bearings and bolts yourself (and possibly an additional washer, I can't quite remember) which is cheaper. The KDE upgrade does include some additional stuff though, like CNC tail pitch links which justify the extra cost.

The KDE Upgrade nor adding the bearing and bolts yourself is the same thing as the new tail design. Bearing count may be the same but that was never the core issue.

The bolts that secure the tail grips were what was breaking, even the 12.9 Bolts some people put on failed. In the case of the old design, and KDE design, the bolt is what took the side load for the outer bearing as well as the thrust bearing.

In the new design, it is more like the Quick UK Tail in that the Tail Hub extends up through the bearings and the tail hub which is larger and more robust takes the side loads. Much better design.

Agreed! I'm using KDE upgrade in the plasic grips (nice...no slop) but might switch to these when a replacement hub becomes available. As you said, much better design.

Yes, I see what you mean. Interesting info.

I want the new tail so I can take off the 600N Plastic Tail, which does not fail but does develop slop.

Just do not want to order from Helipross, which along with Top-RC Force seems to be the only ones who "say" they have in stock

I just ordered with expedited shipping (EMS) so hopefully I will get one within 3 to 5 days. I was hoping to order one from the US but who knows when the US stores will get their shipment.

I just don't trust the existing tail as is. I just bought the KDE V2 tail upgrade kit for the second bearing and metal arms that I just installed yesterday but there are a few things that concern me. The head on the KDE bolt is smaller. The extra weight of the extra bearing was not originally part of the hub design so I wonder how much more force is on the tail blades with the KDE tail V2 upgrade kit. I have still read of reports of the bolt snapping as mentioned by someone else in this thread. $41 is worth the money to get this new tail to me for peace of mind. I can see that the bolt is not supporting the radial loads with the new design because the end radial bearing is on the hub itself instead of the bolt like the KDE V2 upgrade kit.

Well... actually I will probably just be a guinea pig for the new design. Doh! <scrambling to cancel my order> . Seriously though I am looking forward to this new tail for both looks and safety.
