Default What a deal!

So I went to my LHS today just because I was very bored with my day off from work. But boy am I glad I went. I totally forgot that I had a $30 credit because of a faulty charger that came with my mcpx BL. I ended up with a UMX Gee Bee R2 for $30!! What a steal.

Not exactly heli related but I'm very excited, I love getting good deal.

Nice! I've been kinda thinking about getting one of those myself just to putz around with. Let us know your impressions after flying it.

It will be my first plane, other than a mini vapor but that doesn't really count. I've heard the gee bee is a great plane.

I got a great deal on a PZ Bee Gee, just before they were discontinued. I am also a beginner with planes. After reading the forum on RCG I have decided to keep mine on the shelf until I have more flying experience.

I gather they are a very fast bird and landing, even for the experienced, is troublesome. (read, parts scattered on ground). I previously picked up the T-28 Trojan parkflyer, which is much easier. I'm gong to see if I can master it before trying the Bee Gee.

Keep us posted on your Bee Gee adventures.

Yeah, I do also see occasionally that H.H. & the LHS will deeply discount some E-flite UMX model when they go discontinued. I make a point of dropping by the hobby shop every couple of months even if I don't need anything, just to see if there is some great deal on a model that I was thinking about getting or getting a spare for one I already have.
