Dumb newbie questions
I bought an HBFP on e-bay which was supposed to be new in box. When I received it that obviously was not the case. Thru various online forums I now have it mostly straighten out but still have a couple of questions. The 4 in 1 connections for the motors are marked for pos and neg. The connectore on the motor wires have an obvios front side and back side from what I can see. That is one side of the connector is all plastic and one side has two small exposed pieces of metal. When I received this helicopter, the main motor was plugged in with the polarity reversed at the 4 in 1. Does anyone know if E Sky would ever intentionally do this? Also, what direction should the main rotor be turning when looking down on it from the top and what direction should the tail rotor be turning if your facing it with the helo's nose to the right and tail to the left?

The main rotor should be turning clockwise when viewed from the top. The tail rotor should be turning counterclockwise when viewed from the side with the nose to the right.
Do not be concerned about the configuration of the motor connectors. The metal part you see is the contact that is crimped onto the motor wire. You cannot harm the motors by connecting them the wrong way, but the heli will not fly correctly. The main motor plugs into the bottom set of pins on the 4-in-1 controller and the tail motor plugs into the top. Slyster created a great source of information on this heli called the HBFP Bible. If you cannot find what you are looking for there, then you do not need to know |

The main rotor blades spin clockwise. Here's a pic of what the motor connectors should look like:
