Align 600mx 1220kV motor
Oh my goodness, trying to find the PWM rate for this motor. I cannot find it in the specs ANYWHERE!
I see some people are using 8 and others 12. So there is no definitive answer there. Does anyone have any documentation what is the correct value? Thanks a bunch. |

You only want to use 6s on that motor. the 12s motor is the 600MX 510kv motor. The 1220kv is for the ESP or 550E.

He's not asking number of cells. This is a castle setting.
To the op, as you've seen there is no single "correct" setting. It's a balance between performance and efficiency (read: heat). Some will try different setting to see what works best. If I get s chance, I'll take a look at my settingand post it. Merry Christmas! Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2 |

Probably doesn't really matter that much, jus choose the one you are comfortable with. If the ESC temp is staying reasonable, as seen in the logs, go for 12kHz. |

I found a forumula that guys flying scale have used in motors where it is not listed. Setting to 8 or 12 will produce similar flying results but the heat may be higher with one than the other. If you have a thermal temp probe, that may help set the optimum rate for your installation. Here is the formula: Motor KV x Motor Pole Count x Nominal Volts Used / 20. For your particular setup, I get an answer of 13,542 which is close to 12. You will not damage the motor trying either setting out. Take care.

I used to use all the time 12kHz with my burned CC 80 amp and the same motor you have and nothing has never happened. Now I rebuild my bird after a terrible crash and I will use my stock Align ESC.

Thanks everyone. I will try both and check the temps with an infra-red temp gauge.
does anyone know the proper timing for this thing? Another "great unknown." I am starting with 15* |

What you want to look at is the ESC. I thought you had an CC ICE. If so, clear the log and enable the temperature parameter. That will tell you how hot the ESC is getting. |
