I tack it together with just CA then once it cures I put some CA on a plate and mix baking soda with it then apply.

Yea I sprinkle the freshly CA'ed joint in repair with baking soda, let it sit for a min, brush off the area with a fine paintbrush (that has never been used to paint with) and spray the area with canned air to make sure all excess baking soda has been cleared off the heli.

I love this method. I did also put a tiny bit of baking soda over the joint before I applied CA. I also found that if you put too much baking soda it can have reverse effects.
