Default My favorite Heli!

Hi guys just have to sound off a little

No one would care - but maybe some of you new guys,

I just finished burning through some batteries "indoors" now that the weather is already becoming less reliable for flying outdoors.

Anyway, once again I was reminded how much I like flying my walkera v120d01 indoors. If you have a good sized living room this little heli lets you fly with such relaxed confidence. I sit on the floor and fly (eye level and overhead) doing circles, fig. 8s, and practicing hovering orientations, nose in manouvers of all kinds and when I feel gutsy I'll try a couple of fast funnel type circle turns.( Flights are always 6-7 min. btw!

I took time to post simply because after all the wrangling over the pros and cons of fixed pitch vs collective pitch, Mcpx vs Genius, micros vs minis, Blade vs Align, 3-D vs sport flying...ect.etc, when I'm stuck flying indoors in the winter there is always one heli that I choose first from my "heli table", Does that mean I dont like my mcpx or trex 250 or goblin 700? Not at all, but what it does mean is that (for me) there is still something a little bit magical about the feel of this little brushless powered, fixed pitch, flybarless, torque tube driven tail, pint sized, v120d01.

Walkera should pay me for this fine sounding ad hehe. But like I say, it's not like I dont have other helis to play with, I just really like the way the v120d01 flys indoors and thought that you all should know incase you want to check it out for yourselves!

Agreed,,some of the Walkera helis and TX's are an un sung hero here in the US. I have a Devo 8S and love it far more than my DX8. I also have a V120D02S V-2 heli. Way better built than the 130X and none of the issues either. I might play with it and go 2S at some point,,,but in no hurry. Before I do that I want to put a Beast X on it....try that with a Blade 130X......
