300x in a 250 fuse
Trying to stuff a 300x in a 250 fuselage. There are all sorts of reasons it won't work. Getting over most of them. The tail servo had to be moved down into the frame. Then the motor had to be flipped upsidedown. Now the esc has no space and has to go under the frame. Need to build a platform as the frame sits too low. Then the bx can go on one side.
Gotta cut out the top a bit to clear the swash links but that darn elevator servo is my last problem. A low profile servo would be just the ticket....but which one?? |

Rigged the landing lights in the cockpit nice. Just 2 little contacts on the hood and 2 on the fuse. No connector!

300x in a 250 fuse
Only way to get it in was to trim the sides a bit...still don't know if it will ever fly...
Had to flip the motor. Moved the servo into the frame. Put the esc up under the battery. Mounted the BX on the side and reprogrammed. |

300x in a 250 fuse
Well it's in. I reversed directions so many times here. Got it all in, modded the sides to fit the servos, got it back far enough that the canopy fit over the battery and realized the motor would fit again so I put it back. The tail pushrod rubs a bit on the frame so I bet it's gonna wag. Beast is set up and test flight will be in a few hours. If it flies then I will be extending the boom and modding the tail fin. The MD500 fin gets whacked by the tail blades. Not cool. |

Well....it flies. Has a vibe through the fiberglass to ground. I need a piece of foam in the tail between the boom. No wag despite the pushrod rubbing...and maybe needs a more confident pilot...

That's awesome! Quite impressed with how you got it all packed in there, although it is really, really loud
