Thanks Quester.

I did view the Helituning ones. However, Bob's build vids provide more detail for less experienced builders like myslef. He usually has more commentary, provides the reasoning for various decisions, and shows more of the work in process.

Original query still open.

If I could find the manual and look it over I could give a list of pointers and what is applicable from my nitro vids. Alas I do not see the eAurora manual on the Avant web site.

Here's the manual if it works... The Manual is listed at the top of the Avant forms.

OK other than the frames and electric motor install vs nitro engine, the build is the same. Tail, tail drive gear mesh system and adjustment, head, main gear, bell cranks, etc etc is all the same. So you should be able to follow my vids exactly except for frame assembly and electric motor install.

In the videos I did I did talk about it. Not sure if I explain what type of plastic it is though. Can't remember if I did or not. Getting old

interesting tidbit about the ball links....you can adjust them in half turn increments without fear of having a link pop off in flight.

The FBL head came out a long time after Bob built the Aurora, suggest you try posting in the Avant Forum if you are looking for advice!

Default Avant Aurora One Way Sprag Bearing

Bob

After some help I have an Aurora Nitro and have had issues with the one way sprag bearing on the main gear. On full climb out the sprag gear slips so I have to back off power.

Do you know anyone who has had this issue and how have they fixed it.

Thanks in Advance

Paul

What have you used as a lubricant on the fingers of the auto clutch? If anything more viscous than automatic transmission fluid then you should completely clean the finger section with a degreasing solvent and relube using ATF or air tool oil. The sprague fingers need to grip tightly without skating on a layer of grease or other contaminants.
