Not all the settings are there in the new firmware. (unless I missed it)
For example, elevator drag, tail dynamic? Will there be a new version released soon? |

Yesterday updating the new firmware to version 051, and then set factory defaults in the IKON unit..,
After this make a new configuration for my new 450L.(TT) In the basic wizard i choose size heli 250-450 and then for each flight mode select HARD 3D and tail dynamics was set with the value 6 .

Yeah, you got it figured out and yes, they might have forgot something in that illustration. Although I can think of 3 ways to skin this cat, power to aux / ch2 will work. Two other ways would be to power to rx and make elaborate xbus adapter with battery plug in it.

Normally on an electric model, the power is supplied from the BEC inside the ESC on the CH1/thr connector.
So no other power connection needed (unless you want to do a redundant system). In Nitro, in Gasser or in electric with an ESC without BEC, the power should be given to the CH2 / aux. Can be given by a BEC, a 2S lipo (if all the servos are HV) or in some Gasser by a dynamo. |

servo positions changed?
Hi Guys. I'm going through the upgrade on my Protos 500, doing a factory reset first. But now in the setup I see that the servo positions for swash "HR-3 120" have apparently changed, which I find hard to believe. I notice this because the servos don't move correctly with cyclic and CP inputs, where they were fine before. Using the software's trim I've determined that the servo positions ("SRV-1", 2, 3) have changed. I'd love your thoughts on this.

Good idea, but that wouldn't explain it. Reversing would change the direction of the servo but not how they act together. In the BeastX setup, there are a handful of combinations that you can pick from, one of which gets the correct coordination of the swash. With the ikon setup software, I don't see such a thing, which I believe means I have to move around the servo connections to the ikon. E.g, move the pitch servo into SRV-1, etc. Thank you.

I ran in to this when I factory reset for the new firmware as well. You should not have to move the servos to different plugs unless they were wrong on your previous setup. The button to use is the servo reverse button in tab 7, keep clicking it until the swash moves up and down as it should.

Thanks all. That's got it sorted. Now to remember how to set up zero pitch etc.

Reding the instructions on the software is a good help.

Succesful update
I finally got around to updating the firmware in my Scale Huey's Brain. I did save all the settings before hand just in case. The update went off without any incident and the settings were unchanged.

Once I got the setup correct (I did not follow the steps properly) I've found the stock 3D setting to be really good - better than the last version, IIRC. I think it helped with porpoising in FFF too, but I haven't flown enough to tell. Good work, guys.

Excellent! Following the steps in the proper sequence is critical... Glad you got it figured out

I don't know if this has been suggested already but I would like to see the Self Level separated from the 3 banks and at the same time still useable in any of the 3 banks.
Like Horizon's S.A.F.E. system, 3 separate flight modes (& if using built in gov, each with its own headspeed) with the momentary switch for panic recovery.
