Now, F3C/FAI is considered the TOP class. If you're just starting this stuff, try the AMA classes 1, 2, or 3 first.

Those are detailed at:

http://www.modelaircraft.org/comp/05...ok/rc-heli.pdf

Class I is all tail-in hovering. Class II is great to start with if you're good at FFF and side in hovering. Class III throws in a roll and auto, plus some nose in hovering.

I just found this thread & I'm hoping that it can still be revived.

Is there any news regarding the power point presentation mentioned? I look forward to seeing it if its already done.

I'm trying to learn the Maneuvers for Schedule A at this time. I'm having a hard time with the first part, the hovering portion. I'd appreciate any tips on this.

regards!

time for the defibrillator :-) CLEAR! .... bwzaatt-THUD .... I think we have something here :-)

seriously these videos are great. but, I am under the impression that the F3C schedules have changed a little in the last year and I was hoping someone could post some newer F3C videos and maybe even narrate them as well so the lay-man knows what to watch out for :-)

it appears that www.fai.org site is down but I did find this nice PDF which contains the the most info I have been able to find on the new F3C schedules :-)
http://www.faiphilippines.org/AOCC%20Bulletin%201.pdf

good luck to all and thanks for any help :-)

Here is a link on the AMA website to the F3C Judge's Guide in PDF Powerpoint. It's big, almost 7meg.

A Schedule is still the same, but C Schedule has had a couple changes...The Auto with 180° piro is now just an "S Auto" with no piro, and the time allotment is now 11 minutes.

I will try to get some video of C schedule at the next contest in Nashville.
