Maiden flight MX450.
Well I had my first flight today with my MX450
Setup is HS 65 HB all around, Align 430L 3550 Kv, 11t pinion Align 35A ESC 401 Gyro DX7 I set the links up exactly the way the book says to, i measured with a digital vernier, and at spool up the heli dragged to the left really bad. So I used the trim on the radio to compensate, almost maxing it out all the way to the right, and the heli picked right up off of the ground without any problems. But once i lifted about a foot off the ground, it started drifting right. So thats a little weird. Other then that it flew really nice, I used to have an Eflite Pro before this, so this is quite different, I still cant hold it in one place for too long, which i thought with the bigger helis this is not supposed to be a problem to do. I seen videos where guys just pick the heli off of the ground and it just sits there, well mine does not to that, so that was a little missleading. Other then that, I love it, the tracking was bang on, so I'm glad i purchased one. Ill get some pics up later, a friend is painting my canopy for me... |
