It has been about 12 weeks since this post. Where did you get the information that back in September it would be 6 weeks?

Corrado mentioned it in a thread. But I can't seem to find that post now.

If you get the dimensions of the belt (pitch, lenght, etc.), you can probably purchase wider belt here in the US. There is a company in Jersey that sells industrial belts and I bought longer belt to strecth my Atom from them a few years back.

The problem is finding one that is stock length but only 5mm wide. I've only found 4mm and 6mm widths in stock length.

Did anyone manage to find replacement belts for the non stretch protos in either 4 or 5mm width? Also what type of belt is it? MXL? GT2? Please post any links you've found. Thanks.

While surfing, I came across a Japanese blog site for Team Protos Japan. Clicking through links, I found a hobby shop over there selling some nice Protos upgrades and found the thicker stronger belts:
http://shop.ep-models.com/index.php?...oducts_id=2233

and for the stretch:

Nice find!!

However, the belt seems to have both sides with teeth... How will it perform when going into a pulley?

They do have nice things for the Protos, like these ones:

http://shop.ep-models.com/index.php?...oducts_id=3215

http://shop.ep-models.com/index.php?...oducts_id=1380

http://shop.ep-models.com/index.php?...image&pID=2293

http://shop.ep-models.com/index.php?...image&pID=2662

Anyone to buy something from them?

If those pics of belts are anything like the actual product, the belts are clearly single sided.

ooh. I love the CNC tail slider with the little bearings on the lever pins. I wonder if they ship to US.
