Default NX4 - Clutch and bearings Broke

Hello

My NX4 broke and ate the clutch bearings support the pinion / starter with only 4 flights without 3D, only on hover.

In the fifth flight was attempting to start the engine and could not, he ran after it and just spun around and erased.

Anyone had this problem? Apparently this all normal in the assembly, the clutch bell was aligned correctly.

Yes - my clutch also broke the other day..

https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=545275

The problem is - I only run 0% nitro - so not even giving it anywhere near the power it should if i was using 30% nitro

Seems there is too much gap between the clutch and liner - thus stressing out the joint of the clutch shoes.. I think we need to source a thicker liner..

So if anyone knows of a clutch liner that's a little thicker then the NX4's - please let us know.

Did the parts come broke? I found no need to chagne out anything. Both of mine are 100% stock and fly great. I think some of these issues cause panic and next thing you know you spend 2x the amount the heli cost! Build it, fly it and don't worry!

Yeah, it really depends on your skill level. If all you do is hover, and pitch pump then I believe your heli will last longer. However, if you can throw it around a bit, weak parts reveal themselves a lot quicker. I've had the same clutch problem. I replaced it, and have not had problems since.

I purchased a new clutch and put a new liner in my bell the other day..

It seems i ened up with a smaller gap than before so that's good..
Was my first ever clutch liner replacement so was a bit nervous today when testing..

However, had 2 x 10min successful flights and liner seems fine -

So only time will tell now... hope i have better luck with this clutch..

going to give it some more air time tomorrow..

Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot not all of us can fly like the BigQ. The kit in general is pretty good. But yeah, some have had some pretty big issues. What I was getting at is it seemed like a few posts were aiming at replacing parts based off other people's issues. Fly and fix, don't mess with it if it ain't broke. I did buy the 19T pinion upgrade kit and did have a small issue. JC at Empire always helped quickly. Don't worry, Q, I'll be flying circles around your ass once I'm not living in the hospital half dead!!! Lol

Just saying don't start ripping out stuff because others had issues. That's just my opinion, if you like to play it safer I 110% respect that. Better really safe than sorry!

If you quit buying helis and start actually flying them you might someday be on my level. You spend more time building then flying..LOL No joke though, my prayers are with you bro. Take the SIM to the hospital. Good luck bro.

Yeah, it's no fun. Thought surgery put me in remission, but no. Got like 2 trips to field this year! No bueno.... You got a 130 to now? I'll check it out.
