Default Using and mounting the Align Governor sensor on the NX4

Hi everyone,
First off, this hardware I mention here should work on any governor sensor and the NX4.

I know there are several users out there who are using MSH Brain or iKon units on their NX4.

I wanted to show everyone what it took to get the governor working with an Align gov sensor as a lot of people had parts laying around for mounting however I was not one of those people and had to source a proper mount for the Align governor.

First I want to mention that you DO NOT need to swap the wires on the Align governor sensor when plugging into the Brain / iKon. The software tells you to but this is not true for the Align sensor, it is plug and play.

So here is a link to the Align sensor (Part Number HE50H22):
$9.99 http://www.helidirect.com/align-gove...x-l-p-5593.hdx

The Align governor sensor has been around a while and is a proven unit. The only problem is it does not come with any way to mount it and the NX4 does not include any hardware to do so either.

I purchased the following from Helidirect:

$6.29 Compass FBL Brass Bushing - Warp 360 (Part Number 06-0105
http://www.helidirect.com/compass-fb...60-p-29122.hdx

$2.59 R90N462-5 OUTRAGE Cap Screw M2.5 x 12mm - Velocity 90 (Part Number R90N462-5
http://www.helidirect.com/r90n462-5-...90-p-19409.hdx

$1.99 Hex Nylon Lock Nut M2.5 (10pcs) (Part Number HR1068)
http://www.helidirect.com/hex-nylon-...pcs-p-7267.hdx

These parts fit the Align governor sensor perfectly and allow for vertical adjustment on the NX4. Since we are using two screws and lock nuts we prevent the sensor from rotating. I have seen several users using just one screw which can be problematic especially with vibrations that could cause the sensor to move out of place in flight.

Attached are some pics of the installation, you can verify that it is reading properly in the Brain / iKon software by cranking the engine with the starter and you will see it register the RPMs in the Governor menu.
