This can be adjusted via the progdisc.

The P value is the gov gain setting. So adjusting this alters the strength of the gov gain, just like the tail's I and P gain values are tweakable.

So if your rpm's are decaying too much you could try inc the gov gain, being mindful it may affect the tail with kicks.
Another thing about this P value is that you cant set a number or a percentage. You can only 'click' a minus or a plus a number of times, with no way of knowing what the actual value is.

I've sent an email to Kontronik asking them what needs to be adjusted to get the stronger governor at throttle values <50, but I've only got an out of office till next week reply...

How about using your banks, go one way in one bank and the other in an other and then analyse the results?

Oh, does the SK have banks?

Yes, the SK has tail and cyclic banks.

I'm not sure I understood you though. Are you suggesting that I put different tail gyro values in my TX or SK-720 and switch between them after adjusting the Helijive? Or is it something else?

Sorry, your right.
I was suggesting to try the diff gov gain values in the banks.
Got a bit carried away. So used to doing stuff with the Vbar. Trying diff things
Of course you can not put diff helijive values in the SK banks.

I suppose you could change things in the field with the prog disc and see what happens. May be best to wait for K to respond.

My thoughts precisely...

I'll post an update when they reply.

Kontronik replied today, and it turns out that the variable I need to alter is 'Transition Point'

This was at default 50%, and it was suggested to me to lower this to 45%.

I've done this and will see the results after I get to fly again...
