Default Recommended servos for flybarless 90

What choice of servos do I have for a flybarless velo 90? I want some midranged priced ones as I have a budget to stick too. Thanks.

Does that servo have enough torque? I heard the velo 90 needs at least 180oz for hard 3d. I'm not too sure if that was for the flybarred version or not. Can anyone confirm this?

This is true.

The FBL version needs at least 180 oz-in.

BLS451 has only 147 oz-in @ 6V.

Futaba BLS252
JR 8917
Align DS610

The new Outrage BLS servos that are not yet released would be my first choice, but out of what's on the market, the above mentioned servos would be my choice, depending on budget would influence my decision.

CoronaL,

Donīt you think the BLS252īs are too slow (6.0V: 0.13 sec/60 degree)?

Has anyone heard good or bad things about the Hitec 7940TH servo's? These look impressive on paper with 222 oz on 2's lipo and speed of 0.06.

Alot of people run 451s on thier FBL 700s, I dont see why the Outrage 90 needs more.
I doubt your going to find a nice mid range servo with that kind of torque, the only servos I know that have 180+ torque are JR servos and they arent that cheap.

The arm ratio is different on the V90 is why it needs more torque.
