Yup it's real!

Opened a box in the mail and there it is... Brand spanking new sk720!

EDIT!!!!!

I went to plug it in and low and behold firmware mismatch!

Thinking the best I then realized I loaded the old program... Dang.

Firmware 3.43, or whatever revision was last made in 2013.

Well, at least they got one in stock and shipped.

This is getting ridiculous. We are in the third week since the promise ship week with little to no communication and I'm nearing the end of the 45 day window in which I can open a case with PayPal.

A PayPal dispute is not like a credit card dispute. PayPal is very fair and gives the seller a chance to communicate with the buyer before the case gets escalated. You need to open the case within the 45 day window or you don't get any buyer protection.

Just got an email update that says my order shipped. No tracking info yet but I'm happy to know it's on the way!!


Update: got my tracking info, Canada Post says delivery on Saturday.

I actually spoke with a tech from skookum and they advised me that their new firmware is off the hook. They are finishing up with the testing and anticipate two weeks on the update release.

All the guys at Skookum have names. Who did you speak with? Our most reputable and reliable source on this forum (other than the guys at Skookum themselves) is Georgi. He said two weeks ago that the new firmware was due out in 2-3 weeks. I remember the post well because it resulted in a lot of follow-on posts. As far as I am aware, Georgi's timeframe is still accurate and the new firmware will be out before the end of July. Today being the 26th already, that's much less than 2 weeks from now.

I don't remember his name. He was young sounding. I was asking some questions about some general specs on the sk-720BE w/gps. I got mine a couple weeks ago and called last week with questions about sbus necessity with black unit. I brought up the subject of how to update the unit and he started talking about the new software update they are testing. He told me they are just finishing up the testing and bugs and would be within a couple weeks. But I've come to learn that skookum is horrible with deadlines. Supperb technology so I don't mind
