Default updating from 4.2 kosmik

ok I loaded 4.5 going from 4.1 on my kosmik and it bricked. was able to reset the esc and load 4.2 back on.

do I need to update further from 4.2?

if you were able to reset and load another it was not bricked what was it doing after loading 4.5?

It did nothing. Could get no led to light after plugging in battery

Oh with the disc plugged in I didn't look. Only looked when plugged in to run

yeah it wont do anything with disc plugged in except let you program it from the disc.

oh yes when I hit a button the disc it would still allow me in programing.

yeah thats normal it wont initialize with a prog disc plugged in.

You bricked....that you recovered via 4.2 says it all...

It says that your KOS was not "bricked"....a silly term.....

The question is did you have the progdisc removed when you tried to initialize it when 4.5 was loaded? If not, then give it another shot, but remember to remove progdisc afterward

Quick term definition: bricked as used in this forum means unrecoverable as in nothing responds and unable to do anything even reset to get responsive again. This also means you have to send it back to the manufacturer before it can become useable again. What you experienced might be called hung as in hung s/w which is usually fixed by restarting.
