Finished the job in Minnesota, sadly Jack hasn't reported in again... Stopped on my way back at my brother's house to pick up all the stuff that was waiting for me

22? Hmmmm, you must be counting yours, Tom.

I'm in high teens at most

Wait, do we count the small birds (Walkera-like) that got sacrificed in the name of training and will never be fixed/flown again?

Actually, buddy,,,I got it by counting you signature plus the 3 you bought!

However, you do have a valid point, so we'll all take it into consideration and only beat 4/5th's as hard as we were going to, and we'll leave you with 1 beer. The porn bill stays as it is, though!

Any of you guys know how to say, "it's ok, were counsilors" in spanish?

Anywhat, got my new vtx in the mail today!
10 minutes to install and I'll be back in business!!!

Hehehe just realized how out of date my sig was. Some helis have actually gotten sold or given away, so I'm still definitely under 20. Will do a proper inventory and update the sig this week

Went to hook up my new vtx today,,,, only to discover I had ordered the WRONG DAMN ONE!!!!

No wonder I couldn't see a damn thing! Got another ordered today from HeliDirect.
God, I'm so stupid sometimes.

I respectfully disagree here, Tom. Getting older, definitely, even mixing our names sometimes, but stupid, no way

Mixing things up happens to everyone, especially when we get busy and try to get few things done at the same time; last month my 6 ESCs got shipped from Helidirect as 3 different orders because I was trying to complete the order in a hurry and kept clicking the wrong options . Thanks God USPS first class postage for small items is only a couple of bucks and I was shipping to NJ...

Well, guess you're right, I was trying to get it ordered before running off to work, upset I burned up my old one.
Sent out an email to where I bought the damn thing from requesting an rma number, so al least I'll only be out shipping charges.
Just pisses me off as today was almost 80 degrees and just a slight breeze. Don't think we'll see another until winter is over. Especially since this is my first weekend off since July!

At least I know that the Hexa flys fine and my flight time will increase better than I hoped. 7 minutes just goes by too quick when under the goggles having fun!

At least I was able to knock back a few this weekend!

Since none of you boring old farts has anything to report, I'll take it upon myself to update my progress.

Truth is, nothing much to report at all. My Hexa is all done, the new fpv camera is amazing, the weather sucks!

I did, finally, make a new purchase today and am rather proud of myself for.
Shortly after purchasing my AIO goggles they came out with a new silicone head piece for it. It's been out of stock since they came out, close to a year ago.
Today, I took a gander at Foxtech and they finally had it in stock! I'm sure it's going to be the best $3.95 purchase I can make!
Also, ordered every Tiger motor prop adapter they had, 3 of them, another hard to find product.

Truth is, the temp isn't too bad, about 45 degrees F.., but I'm too much of a woose and delved into my brew supply instead!

Damn, I know we're all quiet, but I have something cool to report, but I can't. Or I could, but I can't without being able to show you my video.

The problem is this, I made a video of the FMA HD module in action on my 600, but my camera went flat during the recording, so although I have some decent shots of the HD in operation, I cannot show you guys because, even though the recording will show in the camera, when downloaded it says the file is corrupt.

It says this because it doesn't have the correct header and closer info on the file, more to the point probably the latter, but the camera doesn't seem to care, however my PC, and Youtube do.

Anyone know how to repair an MP4 file, for free? All the ones I have tried try to send me some sort of downloader, that I don't care for, or, they are considered malware by my works security software.

Is there such a thing as an MP4 repair utility that is totally free?

Cheers

Sutty

Have you tried to trim it with Real Player trimmer?

Yes Jerry. It says File parsing error. Everything says there is an error of some sort, apart from the camera itself, which plays it without issue.

The info is clearly in there, it is just the package. I really hate video. If it plays it should damned well play. It isn't even corrupt really, the camara just stopped recording by powering off, so it was closed incorrectly.

Gonna try all sorts of downloads today.

Cheers

Can you create a copy of the file on your camera and then try and see if that one will work?

Good idea Dave, that crossed my mind too, but it seems that there is no way to do that. At the moment I have found that the Bloggie software on the PC can play it too, so I am just messing with that, as there are some basic trimming features in there. The problem is at the moment, having created the trim boundaries, it has already taken about 20 minutes to trim it, and I can't see it actually doing anything, other than saying please wait a moment. A normal trim with real player trimmer only takes around 30 seconds so I can't see why this would be taking so long. I'll keep trying though.

Could just record another video, but it is cold and wet and generally miserable out there.

Cheers

Well it turns out that the program was locked up, but on examining the program folders I found a new folder where it had been working on the trim. It had a copy of the original file which it had saved first as its working copy, and guess what, that copy was different to the original one off the camera, by a few bytes. It had saved a working version.

So I have taken that file and cropped it as normal and it is cooking as we speak.

Sadly it is not as impressive as I thought it was in real life, and it has the normal in and out of focus nonsense from the camera itself, but it does have a good 10 or 15 Hard Deck initiated ERs in there.

I'll post in the video progress thread when done.

Cheers
