OK KBDD is at it again with another great product. They have some new dampers out for the 450 Pro. Kevin and I did a little reviewage of them.
Enjoy! VIDEO -> Review of K&B Dream Design Dampers for the 450 Pro / V2 (62 Megs) Bob

nice review Bob, but are those dampeners good for (hard)sport flying or are they to stiff for that ?
and why is Kevin flying with flybar weights on the pro or did i see that wrong ?

I think they will be fine for sport flying. Only concern is guys wanting to run really low head speeds as the heli will "bob" or "wobble". If the head speed is up, no matter what kind of flying you do, these just feel better.
As for the weights... YUP... Many guys love the KBDD 450 paddles but we put weights on to get a better feel around center stick. The weights don;t really slow down the paddles as the flip and roll right are still awesome but we like some stability around center. Bob

i was disappointed that kevin didn't crash. you cant really call the auto landing a crash, just a hard landing.

tnx Bob that was the info i was looking for...
i always fly 100% flat throttle and i fly hard but no real 3D, just smack it around a bit and lots of moves after each other. i think my dampeners are getting soft so they have to be replaced, perfect timing to test the KBDD"s ! and i'm curious how it will fly with the wheights on my KBDD paddles so i'll give it a try !

Hi Bob and Kevin,
I really enjoy seeing your video clips. You make a nice couple of heli enthusiasts. It is contagious. All the best from Brazil. Eduardo

The sad par is that I bought some dampners last week.
I would have gotten these instead if they were available. |

There are for the Pro and Sport head design. No on the older 450's.

Well the V2 head uses 2 o-rings on each side while the Pro is once piece.
However I went to Aligns web site and for the Pro dampers it lists them as Pro / V2 http://www.align.com.tw/shop/product...oducts_id=2800 So you are right. The dampers are the same now but they were different before. So yes looks like the KBDD dampers will also work on the 450 SE V2. Bob

1BADAIR,
We package them two different ways, as dampener sets and as 450 Pro upgrade kits. There are two dampeners to a dampener set. The upgrade kits come with 2 450 paddles, 2 61mm 450 Pro tailbaldes and 2 450 dampeners. Sorry about the delay in answering! We were out of town for awhile and returned to find our computers were down. We just got them back up and running. Dick KBDD |

no problem. I actually already have 1 set and just ordered more.
I flew them yesterday and today. So far I really like them. They are the only thing that fits tight in my flasher head for some reason. Gonna get another set for the V2

Carbon fiber is fun and sweet and cool. But the colorful plastic bits from KBDD perform just as well, maybe even better, than the more expensive carbon fiber stuff. Lets see....landing gear is next. Then they need to do some canopies. Main blades made of the KBDD super plastic?! |
