Default Help finding V1 09-7025S 7HV FBL Drive Tube

09-7025S 7HV FBL Drive Tube

ProStar and Experience have been out of stock for a while now, keeping me grounded. Any other places that may have these in stock? If any of of you have spares I will gladly buy them off you as long as they are either new or in excellent shape.

Will the 6HV ultimate ones work on the 7HV v1?

Thanks

Ahh, that makes no sense lol. Compass' parts availability is scaring me away from them. I just bought this heli 2 weeks ago and already thinking of selling it before even getting it in the air. Can't get the parts I need..

Yes. They work quite well. You need to reuse the bearings and brass sleeves from the stock yoke and you'll need to obtain two 16mm M3 grub screws.

Bum,

My only concern is the durability o the plastic upper portion - the portion that replaces the the metal yoke. They are up to task on a 700/high powered machine? I understand re-utilizing the bearings and bass sleeves. Where/what are the 16mm x 3M grub screws for/ And...where would I find these (from the way you posted it, they are not a stock item)?

Yes I think they will actually - a mate of mine did this I think with no other mods needed.

They are absolutely tough enough. They are using them on the new chronos. I have them on my 7hv. Its a nice upgrade. Cyclic is more crisp. The grub screw threads into the link end and into the pitch arm connecting the 2 pieces together. Look in the 6hvu parts list on prostar to get a blown up view and a part number.

Thanks Quinn - just placed order from Prostar. Only thing they were out of stock on was the little shims. I can re-use what i have, but I would have liked new bearings and shims.

Yup the 6U Ultra Links are a straight up fit and up to snuff, will be used on the Chronos as well when it's released.

If you do still want/need a V1 tube/yoke setup shoot me a PM I have some.

I ran them since they became available (I even ordered from Australia because they hadn't hit the US yet) and I loved the way they looked and felt.

The plastic 6HVU drive arms seem unidirectional. there is a "bald" spot on the top portion and the leg going from swash to grip is tapered. I assume the narrow tapered edge goes to rear leaving the 'bald" spot facing inward. Yes?

Ya, it's airfoil'd like an airplane wing.
Doubt it does anything but looks cool.
Fat side forward.

I had a 6HVU crash yesterday, and broke the links at the lower ball attachment points. Interestingly, the arms were undamaged. Only the links broke. Only need to replace the links, since the M3 x 16 set screws were still fine inside. So these newer arms appear to me to be even more durable than the former ones. I think they are probably harder on the dampers for those who are flying aggressively, but they work great.

The 6HVU drive tubes must be a hair longer than the V2. I have the all link in all the way and it's just a hair too long. With my swash level and centered in its travel, the blades show 5* pitch. I can lower the swash to make zero pitch, but then I can't get 13* +/- pitch. Ugh

Hmm, mine are even threaded out a few turns to get zero and equal throws.
Maybe adjust you servo arms. Also what FBL?
