Default Atom Eagle Tree Data

Just figured i'd start a post here as I'm going to be doing some testing of different motor configurations and pinion sizes. Right now I'm using the stock motor with the 9t pinion and a 100% throttle. Unfortunently I didnt get any RPM data on these 2 logs, as I had some funky data last time, and was trying it with only one of the rpm pickup leads attached instead of both of them. Looks like i'll need them both.

I've only been flying a few months, so this is mostly flips/rolls loops stall turns, stuff like that. No stick banging 3d, although I try to do some pitch pumping and climbouts. So far I've only managed to draw 50 amps peak, with an average under 20 amps. This is with the Common Sense 6s 2600maH 35c discharge batts. It's very cold out today, somewhere around 35 degrees so that probably effects the power delivery quite a bit. It was also insanely windy, so I was limited on the maneuvers I could perform.

I intend on picking up a 10t pinion and a bigger ESC at some point here, along with a scorpion 1210kv motor to see what kind of HS i can wring out of this thing.

-------------------------------------------

New Data. It's so freakin cold today it's rediculous. I need to pick up some more hand warmers so I can see how big of a difference it makes to have one or two strapped to the pack. I dont have any data to compare this to, but the packs seem to be pretty weak in the cold. They dont hold their voltage very well. I have a feeling this will change when I can keep them heated up. The heli still seems to have plenty of power though. I'm giving it everything I can give it.

You might want to check your soldering work.

I'm using powerpoles, and the motor soldering joints are fine. I always check with a multimeter to make sure there is a good connection. I'm assuming the voltage jump in the middle there is when I landed for a sec to change some stuff in the TX

Got the RPM pickups back on 2 motor wires, and only had time for a quick spool up to test it. It seems to be working, except i get some strange blips of numbers way off the charts, like 4k rpm or under 500 rpms. I'm not sure what the issue there is...

Good start on data and thanks. I run mine a tad over 2700HS but it can easily achieve 3000 stock on the 10t although if I was going to run that high I would bump the pinion up and bring down the motor RPM. I found the best comprimise at 10t and ~2700 HS I get a little over 5 minutes of a beat down with that set up and it performs excellent.

Keep up the good work look forward to seeing some of your warm day data

I tached it last night with a skytach, and I was getting right about 2650. What kind of amps are you pulling with the 10t running 2700 rpms? I'm curious if the stock ESC can handle that or not...

Added a couple more graphs. Still cant get the damn RPM pickup to work worth a crap. I'm waiting on my bullet connectors so I can make up a connector like Capi. That should work much better.

simon021,
I have access to an eagle tree but have never hooked it up. I guess I need to to let you know what kind of amps I am pulling. Will work on that with a buddy and see what we come up with.
