Speaking of clutches. I understand that the new N7 clutch and bell is designed for the bigger motors. I am running the YS 96 and was wondering if I should get the new one?

no need IMO. that motor doesn't produce enough power to require it

Must be for the 120 then because the 96 makes more then the 105

I'm guessing he thought you meant the 91. The 96 Tareq, OS105, and 120SRX are the motors in mind for the new clutch.

No, me and him mess with each other over which motor has more power ( of course the 96 )

Is the new clutch a bigger diameter? I am guessing the benefit of running it would be more contact area between the clutch and liner? It seems to be running fine however with the stock one but I might upgrade.

The biggest advantage to the new one is the increased size of the shoes (more contact area as you stated) but also the increased weight of the shoes. They bite into the liner more.

matt, I have been flying one for a few months. it is great. 25% larger, and 25% more mass. the motors idle better, like having a larger flywheel on a car. it grabs better because you have 25% more contact surface (roughly, you may come up with +/- a few % due to geometry and the un-linear way shoes spread, but close enough), and the additional rotating mass of the shoes grabbing the bell.

it is a very worthwhile upgrade for the 105 and 120

for the record, and in all seriousness, the clutch is a very good upgrade for ANY motor IMO. the first idle you will notice a difference, and you will see the difference in extremely high loading maneuvers.

the clutch bell is easier to line IMO as well.
