Default HS5065MG mid case replacement

Hi Guys, having a problem with my HS5065 elev servo on my t-rex450. Has taken a bad crash, and I'm trying to replace the gears and case.

In the crash, the top part of the servo case spilt and the holes in the middle part of the case bacame elongated causing slop. So I'm looking to re-build the servo.

I cannot figure out how to remove the potentiometer without re-soldering the wires as part of the operation. Is my thinking correct, or is there something I am missing?

Many Thanks
Denis
