Post OS55HZ dies during tic-tocs - Why?

My OS55HZ was running fine for sport flying, coming down about 200F, which is a little hot for no aggressive moves.

But my engine cut out during poorly done tic tocs (unplanned auto!). Could the engine cut out due to overheating? My glow plug was a darker brown which makes me think that is what happened. Shouldn't the glow plug always be a light golden brown no matter what?

Engine fortunately doesn't seem damaged and is performing well now but I haven't tried anything aggressive yet.

Anyway, just making conversation and looking for other opinions.

Thanks
